Travel Infrastructure for Sport

Your members are already booking. Your federation isn't seeing a cent of it.

Member travel spend defaults to OTAs by absence of any alternative. Travel Activated puts the mechanism inside your event experience to capture that spend and keep the revenue inside the sport.

Built by the UCI's Head of Travel and Fisher & Paykel's Chief Digital Officer.

Every event you run creates a travel economy. You see none of it.

Your event creates the demand. Your members fulfil it elsewhere. Revenue flows to OTAs by default. Not by design.

$0

Infrastructure built for your tier

National federations and licensed sport, where participation actually happens, have been ignored.

Every

Member trip is spend the sport created

Your event set the dates, the venue, and the audience. Every member who showed up spent money to get there.

A national federation running 200 events cannot staff a travel desk for each one. The service model has never scaled to this tier. The events are too many, the margins too small, and the staff too few. The only solution that works at federation scale is infrastructure embedded in the registration flow so every event gets a travel layer automatically, without adding operational load.

The Model

This is not a booking widget. It is a revenue model.

Most federations treat travel as a member benefit: something to offer, not something that funds itself. Travel Activated is structured differently.

A modest, flexible platform fee, structured to suit your membership size and model, funds the platform and delivers a concrete benefit: discounted hotels, flights, activities, and car hire for every event, in one branded portal.

Every booking then generates commission across the full trip, not just accommodation. The fee funds the platform. The commissions are net new revenue. Members pay less than booking direct. The margin OTAs would have captured stays inside the sport.

The Fee

What funds the platform

A flexible platform fee, calibrated to your organisation's size, structure, and membership model. Priced to be justifiable as a member benefit line item, with margin left for the federation.

  • Scales with membership size
  • Federation keeps the margin
  • Structured as a member benefit
  • Replaces zero with a revenue line

Commission

What generates net new revenue

Commission on every booking through your portal, paid quarterly and reported transparently. Revenue scales with your member base and event calendar. The fee funds the platform; the commissions are pure upside.

  • Paid quarterly, reported transparently
  • Scales with bookings, not headcount
  • Earned across all travel categories
  • Net new revenue, not a replacement

Savings

What members actually feel

Member rates sit alongside public rates across every category. The discount follows them across the full trip, not just the hotel.

  • Hotels & accommodation
  • Flights
  • Car rental
  • Activities & experiences
  • Travel insurance

Beyond Commission

Every event now has a page. Every club now has a tool. Your federation now has something real to put on the membership card.

Commission flows from bookings. The platform creates something more: a network of live, branded pages your federation owns. One for every event, one for every club, all for free.

Every event gets a page

Funnel Brain, our AI page builder, generates a branded travel portal for every event in your calendar automatically, from your registration data. No brief. No build. No cost. Live from the moment registration opens.

Those pages generate qualified, event-specific traffic with real commercial value. Sponsors and partners gain a placement in front of confirmed attendees at the point of trip planning.

Every club gets a portal

Every affiliated club gets its own branded travel tool at no cost. Members book through it. Commission flows up to the federation.

For the first time, clubs have something tangible to offer: real travel discounts through a dedicated club-branded portal, not a WhatsApp thread.

A clear membership benefit

The platform fee delivers a concrete, quantifiable benefit: discounted travel across every event, every year. A genuine line item in your membership programme.

An AusCycling member saves AU $78 on a single three-night stay at the Pullman. One trip covers the cost of the membership increase. Members who travel most frequently renew and recruit at the highest rates.

Federation margin on the fee

You set the member-facing price. The difference between what you charge and the platform fee is yours, on top of commission revenue, before a single booking is made.

New Digital Inventory

Your event calendar is now a commercial media asset.

Sponsor placement

Every event page is a confirmed-attendee audience, not just sport fans. Sponsors reach people who are attending, at the moment of trip planning.

Partner activation

Insurance, nutrition, equipment, and apparel partners gain a channel to members at the point of event planning, when purchasing intent is highest.

Membership programme value

Travel benefits become a quantifiable membership line item, tied directly to something every competing member already does.

Federation data asset

For the first time, the federation sees where members travel, which events drive the most demand, and which clubs are most active. That data belongs to the sport.

Three steps from sign-off to revenue

01

Share your event calendar

One meeting. We map every event, venue, and member group and handle all travel sourcing: accommodation, flights, activities, and car hire. No RFP process required.

02

We deploy your branded portal

Embedded into your website, registration confirmation, or member portal. One line of code, or we handle it entirely. Most federations go live within five business days of providing brand assets.

03

Members book. You earn. We report.

Every booking generates a commission back to the federation. Full visibility in your dashboard. Quarterly payouts with transparent reporting on bookings and revenue.

The Platform

Not a logo on a booking page. A complete event travel experience.

Each portal is fully branded and context-aware. Pre-filtered to your event dates, venue, and member needs. Live countdown. Curated recommendations. Real-time availability. All under your event brand.

Proof of Model

We built this model by hand in 2015.Now it runs on infrastructure.

In 2015, our team served as the exclusive travel partner for the UCI Road World Championships in Richmond, Virginia. We sourced accommodation for 62% of competing nations, managed 18,900 hotel room nights, and generated $430,000 in additional revenue for the host.

That programme ran on spreadsheets and phone calls. It required a full-time team, months of manual contracting, and World Championship-level budget to sustain.

Travel Activated is that model on infrastructure. The same commercial logic, deployed automatically for any federation, at any event size, for a fraction of the cost.

"The travel office team began working with us in December 2013 through to December 2015, managing the travel arrangements of all key stakeholders for the 2015 UCI Road World Championships. They delivered on everything they promised and beyond, while adding valuable revenue streams to the event. I would highly recommend them to any event organiser requiring complex global movements and new revenue streams."

The federation

Built for how federations actually operate

National federations and NGBs

A licensed member base, a multi-event calendar, a governance structure. Travel Activated connects to your existing membership system and turns every event into a revenue point, without adding operational load.

Event organising committees and LOCs

Running a national championships, world cup leg, or multi-day series? We handle sourcing, room block management, and attendee booking from one dashboard so you stay focused on the event.

Regional associations and member clubs

Smaller member base, same structural problem. If your members travel to events, revenue is sitting uncaptured. We scale to any event size.

Ticketing and registration platforms

Your registration flow already captures the demand. Travel Activated embeds inside it as a travel layer, at no cost to you. Members book through your existing flow. Your platform gains a new data layer on member travel behaviour, extended engagement beyond the transaction, and a commission share on every booking made. No competing page. No competing product.
